Burton Custom X Snowboard?

I have the option of buying a Burton Custom X snowboard and i have reada buch of reviews and most of them are great, except i was talking to the manager and he said since my shoe size was 11+ (mens) that the burton custom x would not be wide enough and would give me substantial toe drag. Thing is i really want this board and its at a good price, so is this really a problem? I can't imageine burton would build a board targeted at intermediate advanced boarders and not allow for a shoe size greater than 11. Help?!
