Realizing Weather and Month?

In the Northern Hemisphere, December-March is winter and freezing. Since it is the opposite in the southern hemisphere, does that mean it's really hot December-March? I know it's a stupid question, but I just realized this. Because if you think about it? The hemisphere you don't live in, it seems like they have stupid weather.
